Residents of Sand Point kept up a 42 year history with the annual Forth of July-ish neighborhood parade. Three generations participated in this year’s event featuring bikes, trikes, wagons, and garden carts. Red, white and blue decor made for a patriotic and festive procession. To ensure no challenge was made to the residents of Cloverdale no cows were permitted. Parade organizers were heard to say that the Sand Point parade is likely the only parade circling a two block loop within two miles of the Pacific Ocean, to be found in the continental United States.
